KOB-TV Channel 4 is hiring an editor/director for Good Day New Mexico. Applicants must have a minimum of four years experience in non-linear editorial workgroup environment, with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 preferred, as well as experience in cutting reality, corporate image, documentary or commercial production content.

Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of graphics, server file management, audio mixing, on-air mastering, and effects editing is a must. They must be knowledgeable on tapeless production workflows, particularly with P2 and/or XDCAM, AVI, MP4, QuickTime and MXF file formats for both broadcast playout and web streaming.

Applicants must have a general knowledge of post-production operations, including a basic operational knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, with particular emphasis on  Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  A basic knowledge of MacCaption software, Adobe Creative Cloud captioning and EditShare Server would be helpful.

Experience directing a multi-camera television show is preferable.

Responsibilities will be to edit two 30-minute talk shows per week, as assigned by the show’s Executive Producer and/or the published production schedule. Digital online finishing of five 30-minute shows per week, including assembly of playout list for air and web streaming. Technical duties will include management of Adobe Premiere Pro workstations. Some knowledge of the Ross Carbonite Switcher would be preferrable.

The successful applicant will b responsible for editing to completion all material necessary to create a daily 30-minute show that is coherent, communicative and suitable for broadcast and internet streaming under the supervision of the Executive Producer. Other duties include technical directing recorded broadcasts and interviews on a daily basis. Responsible for relaying content information and runtimes for all recorded content to the Executive Producer.

May be required, on occasion, to lift and carry cables and equipment up to 30 lbs, including P2 and/or XDCAM camera packages and support gear.
